In their most recent partnership with country crooners Rascal Flatts’, Daddy Van Productions has created and will direct concert video for the band’s 2011 “Flatts Fest” tour. Daddy Van video artist Charlie Terrell created several original Rascal Flatts videos for their current tour.
For this project, Daddy Van had the challenge of working with white video screens to go along with the all-white tour theme, which as incorporated into every detail of the show from the set to performer’s costumes. Bruce Rodgers, of Tribe, Inc., who has collaborated with Daddy Van on a number of projects since 2005, was the first to introduce the theme idea. Rodgers and Terrell worked together to create an unforgettable concert experience for Rascal Flatts fans.
The huge monochrome set backed by a huge end-to-end video screen that sits at the back of the stage was created with a killer opening sequence in mind. At each show, fans have gone wild for the show’s opening act as the 3 band members emerge from 3 doors built into the video screen before hitting the stage to perform favorite hits like “Summer Nights” and “Bless the Broken Road.”
In addition to directing Rascal Flatts video for this tour and the band's tours from 2006 -2010, Terrell and Daddy Van co-owner Polly Parsons have been hired by world famous musicians from Aerosmith to Dave Matthews Band. Since 2005 they have provided unmatched creative video design and directing services.
