Motley Crue Concert Video Design

Daddy Van Productions is currently touring with influential rock group Mötley Crüe, along with Poison and the NY Dolls.  The band’s 2011 Summer Tour kicked off in Dallas, TX this June and and will stop in 40 US cities before the end of August.

Fans are already going wild for the band’s fan-centered approach to this tour.  Prior to the tour, online fans were encouraged to vote on song for this tour’s set-list.  The fun doesn’t stop there – this tour’s thrilling concert design has plenty of people talking as well.

No doubt the central feature of the tour has been the “360 vertical drum roller coaster.”  The on-stage coaster launches a strapped Tommy Lee into a series of vertical loops while he continues to play drums.  One lucky fan is selected at each show to join the drummer on this wild ride.

Daddy Van Productions’ principal designer Charlie Terrell was hired to design and direct Motely Crue concert video for this tour.  This project allowed Terrell to stretch his creative limits like never before to create an unforgettable visual experience for Motley Crue fans.

To add to the thrilling visual effect of the drum coaster, Terrell custom-designed a round video screen to sit behind it.  This larger-than-life video screen is framed by the drum coaster and projects video during Tommy Lee’s in-motion drum solo resulting a mind-blowing effect fans won’t soon forget.

In addition to designing Motely Crue concert video, Daddy Van Productions has provided world-class video design and direction for top-name clients including Disturbed, Reba McEntire, ZZ Top, and Maroon 5.  Terrell and his wife, Polly Parsons, founded the company in 2005
